Tom Bivins

As a member of the Bivins family of Amarillo, Tom Bivins understands the importance of supporting the economic, cultural and educational efforts of West Texans. His family has been in the Texas Panhandle since 1890, and they have supported a wide range of civic and philanthropic activities in Amarillo. With a pioneering spirit and the desire to help others, the Bivins have left their mark on generations of Amarillo citizens.

Tom Bivins was educated at Westminster College and the TCU Ranch Management program. He is a founding partner in Corsino Cattle Company, a fully integrated cow/calf and stocker cattle operation. He’s the vice president and director of the Excell Cattle Company and part of the Bivins Brothers Partnership, a ranching operation formed in 1977.

He is a former vice president and founding member of Amarillo Bio Sciences Company, a publicly traded bio-tech pharmaceutical company; an interest owner of Dynamic Vehicle Safety System, developing in-vehicle automated train detection products; an advisor-director of Uniform Printing, an integrated forms printing company; and an independent oil and gas producer.

Bivins is the past chairman and current vice chairman of the Mary E. Bivins Foundation, past chairman of the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation, and past chairman of the Amarillo Speech, Hearing and Language Center.

Tom Bivins currently serves on the board of the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation. He continues his family’s commitment to the economic health and cultural enrichment of his native Amarillo.
