David Schaeffer
Buffalo Council Founder David Schaeffer has proudly supported West Texas A&M University as an alumnus of WT, a member of Old Main Society, and as a member of WTAMU Foundation’s Board of Directors. The son of a school teacher with deep ties to WTAMU, he has been influenced by a family committed to excellence in public school education and higher education. His understanding of the importance of education is further reflected in his service to the Dimmitt School District as a member of the board of trustees. He has also served as vice chairman of the Region 16 Education Services Center board.
Schaeffer is chairman of the board of First United Bank, having served on the board since 1996, and is the Director of National Finance Credit Corp. of Texas. He is a partner at the accounting firm of Schaeffer, Sutton, Schaeffer, Myatt and Bradly in Dimmitt, Texas, and has served as the president of Frontier Capital Group Ltd.
