Bill Britain
William Britain co-founded EnergyNet, Inc. in 1999 and serves as President and CEO. He was elected Chairman of EnergyNet’s Board of Directors in August 2007.
Britain has more than 30 years of experience in a number of areas of the oil and gas business including E&P, A&D, drilling, large lease plays and EOR.
EnergyNet has been the broker for the purchase and sale of over 44,000 oil and gas properties working on behalf of 4,200 sellers and 18,000 bidders across the United States. EnergyNet is the most active oil and gas property marketplace serving the industry, as well as state and federal government clients.
In 1987, Mr. Britain co-founded J-Brex Company, serving as Vice-President and Land Manager from 1987 to 1999.
Mr. Britain is a member of the Independent Producers Association of America, Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners, Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association, Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, California Independent Petroleum Association, American Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Illinois Oil and Gas Association, Panhandle Association of Petroleum Landmen and Dallas ADAM Energy Forum.
Mr. Britain holds FINRA Series 63, 22 and 39 securities licenses and is a licensed Texas auctioneer.
Mr. Britain, an Amarillo, Texas native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1972 and served 5 years in the United States Army Infantry.
